Directions to Gilmer Apartment Hotel Wellington

Gilmer Apartment Hotel is a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport or 12 minutes walk to the train station.

By Foot or by Bus: 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CLIMB UP PLIMMER STEPS!

If you are arriving by bus please ask to be dropped off on Lambton Quay near the James Cook Arcade.

Access to Gilmer Terrace is through the James Cook Arcade lift (The James Cook Arcade is situated between Wild Pair Shoe and Fashion Store and Banks Shoes on Lambton Quay), exit the lift on car park level AB , walk up the ramp and exit the car park into Gilmer Terrace. We are approximately 30 meters down the road on the left hand side. There are cameras in the car park and it has good lighting. Please note this access is not available between 1:00am and 6.00am

From the Ferry:

A taxi from Interislander Terminal will cost approximately NZD20.00 It will take 5-7 minutes to reach the hotel. Shuttle services are also available on demand. If driving from the Interislander Terminal, drive towards the city and turn left onto Whitmore Street(fourth set of lights from the ferry terminal)follow it through until it becomes Bowen Street and turn left off Bowen Street onto The Terrace. Drive up The Terrace and take left off ramp just after James Cook Hotel to go onto Boulcott Street. Take first left from Boulcott Street to Gilmer Terrace and we are just on the right hand side.

From the Train Station:

If arriving from the Train Station walk along Lambton Quay to the James Cook Arcade. Access to Gilmer Terrace is through the James Cook Arcade life, exit the lift on car park level AB and walk through to Gilmer Terrace.

By Car from the North:

If arriving in Wellington from the north, simply take "The Terrace Exit" . Turn right from the set of traffic light and be in your left hand side lane. Take the off ramp just after the turn to go left on Boulcott Street. Take first left from Boulcott Street to Gilmer Terrace and we are just on the right hand side.

From the South:

From Willis street turn left onto Boulcott St then right onto Gilmer Tce.
